Minimum age / certification
No formal minimum age for the course (a parent may need to attend with younger children); certification required for anyone born after December 31, 1965. Hunters may hunt unsupervised starting at age 12.
License year
Hunting licenses are valid for 365 days from the date of purchase rather than a fixed calendar period.
